Jessica is a London girl. Thomas is a Kiwi guy. They met in a pub in London when Thomas was doing his OE, and since then they have travelled the world together. They got engaged while trekking in Nepal. Thomas decided to pop the question after the hardest day of walking, but such an epic location!
Their wedding was held at the stunning Claremont Estate in Amberley. Both got ready on site and they had a ‘first look’ before heading down to the gorge for photos before the guests arrived.
Big thanks to Angela of Gods True Beauty for second shooting for me!
It was a stunning day, but there was a little wind. What was a little wind at the main grounds of the estate, became a lot of wind down at the gorge. It funnelled through and we had to work fast to stay standing up!
Man was it windy down there!! Thankfully the hairdresser was still on site when we got back from taking the photos to fix up Jessica’s hair! We found we still had some time before the guests arrived so snuck away to get a few more photos before Jess hid away ready to make her grand entrance.
The ceremony was held on the grounds of the estate, with the celebrant Thomas’ aunt who had travelled over from Australia. A large number of the guests had travelled long distances to get there, including Jess’ parents and sister from London. Such a lovely ceremony. The love between them and the joy they felt was so obvious!
It is an English tradition to give the bride hearts, and to throw confetti. Such fun!
After the ceremony there was food galore. As Thomas described beforehand, its a BBQ with live music and close friends and family. Perfect way to spend an afternoon, topped off by an amazing pavlova stack!!
Jess and Thom, I wish you guys all the very best of life’s blessings. I’m looking forward to giving you the rest of the photos this weekend!!
